Circulation/Reserves Desk
Located at the main entrance of the library, the Circulation/Reserves
Desk is the main service point for library services.
Check out material
Users can check out library material in a number of ways at the
circulation desk. Self-check stations are located prominently at
the Circulation/Reserves Desk and provide the quickest way to check
out library material. Two additional self-check stations are located
in the foyer of the Second floor closest to the General Collection.
Users may also check out material directly from library staff who
operate the Circulation/Reserves Desk.
Check in material
Users may return library material directly to library staff at the
Circulation/Reserves Desk. Alternatively, books are collected every morning and afternoon from library book drop boxes. These are located on campus,
one right outside the Student Center, the other in front of the School of
Business and Management. Books
returned to the book drop are counted as received the previous evening.
Please use the box only for the return of library materials. Fragile
items such as videotapes and CDs should be returned directly to the
Circulation/Reserves Desk.
Reserve Material
Professors will often place items "on reserve" in the library. This
means that you can ask for the article/book at the Circulation/Reserves
Desk or search the catalog to check availability. Since many students
need to share these items, they can usually be used for only 2 hours
and they may not be taken from the library. In most cases, reserve
items can be photocopied.
Faculty wanting to place library or personal material on Reserve
can do so by viewing the Reserves
Policy
Lost and Found
The Library operates a Lost and Found for items left in the library.
Please check with Library staff at the Circulation/Reserves Desk

of Student Affairs.
