Circulation & Reserves Desk
Located at the main entrance of the library, the Circulation & Reserves Desk is the main service point for library services.
Check out material
There are two self-check stations at the Circulation & Reserves Desk. Users may also check out material directly from library staff. See our Borrowing and Access Policies for more information about borrowing materials.
Check in material
Users may return material directly to staff at the Circulation & Reserves Desk. We also have book drops around campus. See our Returning Library Items page for more information.
Professors will often place items on reserve in the library. This means that you can ask for the article/book at the Circulation & Reserves Desk or search the catalog to check availability. Since many students need to use these items, most items can be borrowed for only 2-3 hours and they may not be taken from the library. In most cases, reserve items can be photocopied.
The library supplies laptops for student use within the library. Laptops are checked out at the main circulation desk for 3 hours, renewable on availability. You can see if any laptops are available to borrow here: Available Laptops and Computers
Group Study Rooms, Presentation Rooms, Media Rooms, and Seminar Rooms
Rooms can be reserved at the Circulation & Reserves Desk or through our online Room Bookings page. Keys to the Presentation, Media, and Seminar rooms must be borrowed from the Circulation & Reserves Desk.
You can borrow the following for in-library use:
- Whiteboard markers and erasers
- Apple Mini VGA adapter
- HDMI-VGA projector adapter
- Charging cables
- LAN cables
- LifeChat LX-3000 headset
