Click and Post Service

As an effort to connect patrons with the library’s print materials during the COVID-19 closure, the AUS Library now offers a postal delivery service.

How does it work? 

  1. Search WorldCat for available print books, DVDs, and music CDs
  2. Click on the title of the item you want
  3. Click ‘Place Hold’ button (available items only)
  4. I want to pick up at: Postal delivery to my UAE home address
  5. The library will email you to confirm your postal address and confirm dispatch.


  • This service is available only to currently registered students, faculty, staff and AUS Alumni residing in the UAE (to replace walk-in access).
  • Delivery time will vary depending on Empost (estimated 2 working days). 
  • Circulation and Reserve materials are not available for postal delivery.
  • Items will be automatically renewed.

How to return your library materials?

Return items at the Campus Service Gate (Sports Complex side) daily from 6:00am to 7:00pm, weekends 6:00am to 6:00pm (see the on-duty guard)   


Return items via the post.

Empost can collect directly from your door and return books on your behalf. To arrange, email

Borrowers are responsible for all return postage costs. We recommend that you get proof of postage when sending your items back to the Library. We will take the postage date as the return date of the book.
