User information held by AUS Library
To provide an effective library service, AUS Library collects and holds some personal information. The information we hold can include but may not be limited to:

- Transaction history, e.g. loans, request, holds and reservations
- Fines and fees
Library website (library.aus.edu)
- Event and room booking history
- Data submitted via request forms

- Vacancy applications via the Library Student Assistant Program

- Computer and laptop booking history
How we use the personal information
The Library’s primary use of personal information includes, but is not limited to:
- Managing user library accounts to enable use of the library facilities
- Sending information relating to users’ library account and library services, e.g. overdue item notifications and event reminders
- Planning the provision of library services
- Monitoring performance e.g. library subscriptions
- Satisfying our legal obligations
How long will personal information be kept
AUS Library will not retain any personal information for longer than is necessary. Different retention periods may apply for different types of information. This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as needed.
