Library Leads Second Successful Information Literacy Community of Practice

This semester saw the second iteration of the Information Literacy Community of Practice (COP-IL) designed and facilitated by AUS Librarians with 8 enthusiastic faculty from the English Department participating.  Over the semester we worked together to develop understanding of information literacy, to reflect on teaching practice, to engage in conversation, and to establish ongoing learning partnerships that encourage innovation and collaboration.

The second cohort of graduates now join a broader network comprising faculty and librarians who share a keen interest in supporting information literacy and in meeting the goals of the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

Our IL Community of Practice for faculty will continue next semester.
