Once again, the library thanks all our student assistants for their dedication and hard work in providing library support to you, our users. Our student assistants work at the Library Service Desk, help answer and troubleshoot technology questions, conduct library rounds and tours, assist with special library digital media and workshop projects, and help out in our technical services department. We recognize their commitment and achievements.
This semester we say congratulations and farewell to 4 graduating student assistants.
Amira Boudrai (Computer Engineering) - 5 semesters with the library
Salman Abdul Sattar (Industrial Engineering) - 3 semesters with the library
Mark Moheb Wasef (Civil Engineering) - 3 semesters with the library
Abdullah Omar Al Rayess (Mechanical Engineering) - 3 semesters with the library
Each reflected on their time working with us highlighting the importance of a number of soft skills they have developed and can transfer moving into employment and further study. These include handling responsibility, time management, working in teams, building confidence and communicating with others.
Amira, Salman, Mark and Abdullah were each presented with certificates of appreciation this week. Amira was honored for having worked with us for over 4 semesters. As is our tradition, she selected a book that now contains her name inscribed on a book-plate. We wish all our graduating student assistants a bright future ahead.
Amira’s book selection:
