AUS Library Celebrates Connection and Creativity with "Love Your Library" Event
The Library recently celebrated the first annual "Love Your Library," event between February 12 - 15. The week featured a variety of engaging activities that brought together students, faculty, and staff in a festive atmosphere.
A highlight was the photobooth on the Ground Floor, where attendees captured moments against a backdrop of silver tinsel and hearts, using Valentine's Day-themed props. Customized "I ❤ AUS Library" stickers were distributed, extending the event's reach beyond the library and fostering a visible campus-wide impact.
The "Blind Date with a Book" display added a touch of mystery to the event, with wrapped titles and teaser descriptions inviting readers to explore new genres. Meanwhile, the "Love Letter to the Library" initiative encouraged heartfelt messages from the community, collected in a decorated post-box for a chance to win.
"Love Your Library" not only celebrated the library's resources but also highlighted its importance as a center for learning, creativity, and community connection.
Congratulations to the winner of the “Love Letter to the Library” campaign, Kaizar Bharmal, who wrote:
Dear Library,
Remember me? Kaizar? I'm the one who's always looking for new things to learn. I wanted to tell you how much you've helped me. From quiet study rooms with no distraction to loaner laptops. You're not just about books, you're like a kind friend who's always available for help and support. So here is a giant "thank you" from the bottom of my heart.
Your friend,
Kaizar Bharmal
