From February 10–13, the AUS Library hosted its second annual “Love Your Library” event, bringing students, faculty, and staff together for a week of creativity, connection, and literary celebration. Throughout the week, the library was filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of love for books, learning, and the AUS community.

One of the highlights was the photobooth on the Ground Floor where attendees captured memorable moments against a shimmering silver tinsel backdrop.

Adding an element of mystery, the "Blind Date with a Book" display encouraged readers to step outside their usual genres, with wrapped books offering only teaser descriptions as clues.

Meanwhile, the "Love Letter to the Library" initiative invited community members to share heartfelt messages about what the library means to them. Participants submitted their letters in a beautifully decorated postbox for a chance to win a special prize.

More than just a celebration of books, “Love Your Library” was a reminder that the library is more than just a study space—it’s a place of inspiration, discovery, and connection. Throughout the week, students, faculty, and staff truly felt the love, whether through the joy of finding a new favorite book, the excitement of capturing memories with friends, or the warmth of sharing why the library holds a special place in their hearts.

Congratulations to Hamza Ratlami, winner of the “Love Letter to the Library” competition, whose touching words perfectly captured the spirit of the event:

"My dearest Library,

I love you because you provide me solace away from the world's chaos.

I love you because you teach me something new every day.

I love you because I find new friends (in books) here every day.

In reality, though, I do not need a 'because' to love you."
