On Wednesday, November 12, the AUS Library participated in the Sharakah Reading Festival organized by the Office of Enrollment Management, creating a vibrant Creative Expression Zone for local high school students (Years 10–13).
The festival opened with a warm welcome and a talk delivered by Kara Jones, the University Librarian.
The library zone offered hands-on activities such as bookmark decorating, a photo booth, origami and coloring, and Lego character station, attracting 116 student visitors. Students enjoyed exploring their creativity while engaging in a fun and interactive way.
The library also welcomed festival guest author Armen Adamjan, a social media influencer and author of the Don’t Throw It Out! series and Did You Know…, through a special Library tour.
Through its participation, the library promoted reading and creativity, showcased itself as a place of learning and exploration, and strengthened community outreach through the Sharakah Program.
