Congratulations to Yasmine Mohamed Abd-Allah (Access Services’ Supervisor, AUS Library) for completing the American Library Association’s Library Support Staff Certification.
This recognized certification validates expertise, dedication to professional growth and exceptional library services. The program covers training in areas including reference and information services, collections, technology, communication and teamwork. Yasmine completed the certification over 3 semesters with international candidates based in US libraries, gaining as she commented “a comprehensive understanding of library support services, and improving skills to meet the diverse user needs.” The program “allowed me to gain practical experience, exchange ideas, keep up with latest developments and apply theoretical concepts in practice”.
